Concept: A person's face is, in part, a reflection of what the world sees in it. We recognise people way of images we have in our own minds. And when we represent someone in a portrait, we’re doing that according to our own projections and personal understanding of that person. In the end, the person who is transmitted through that process may not actually exist.
