BIO:
Nattawat was born on Jan 21, 1992, in Bangkok, Thailand. He had a passionate interest in oil and portrait painting, especially the artworks of Picasso, Gauguin, Cézanne including other Cubism artists. He began practicing oil painting at the age of 15 years old. The starting point of the artwork is with his desires to create soul and emotions in the works of art because he was bored at inexpressive artworks seen at art galleries. His interests in portrait painting came from brush strokes, lines, and colors portraying his emotions and feelings. He opened an art studio named ‘Demian Factory’ in Bangkok with a cat for people to visit and appreciate his creations.

CUBISM
Concept: AN ARTIST's JOURNEY INTO CUBISM. This series of works brings together the style of modern painting in the early 20th century by telling the story of an artist and his perspective of life in three chapters. With this you can understand how art can communicate feelings and sufferings such as ‘depression’ or ‘full of life’ without uttering a single word. Chapter I: White Period The white period is a collection of portraits drawn by the artist when he was suffering from depression. He drew close friends, family, he drew from his imagination and he even drew self portraits. All were filled with cold colour tones as he was unintentionally pouring his own emotions; representing lifelessness, emptiness, and soullessness. I suffer. You write. Don’t worry, John. I’ve done my baptism with my blood. I’m in flames. Perish in the chest. I don’t know the place and time, I don’t know what I came to do in this planet. Don’t try to understand my loneliness. I’m walking only on the roof of the sky. I only know that even the twenty-first century cannot be saved. Tell the Lord Christ to come down from the cross. I’ll be greedy instead. - Dan Aran Saengthong, white shadow. Chapter II: MUSE This chapter contains a love interest, aka his muse. The artist met a lady who unknowingly inspired him, and maybe even healed him. Most of the content in this chapter is heavily influenced by his muse; the simple daily interaction they had which the artist felt was necessary to capture. The artist may have not said it with words, but you can tell he was falling in love. Chapter III: Cubism This series was born out of the artist’s intention to find his creative voice by restoring the most influential artistic cult of the 20th century. His aim is to bring back cubism to life by studying and decomposing his realistic surroundings in this modern world in paintings that appeared fragmented and abstracted. “This series of work of mine is a new interpretation of reality. By symbolising the uniqueness of the surroundings with which I’m connected to or people I love or the statues of sacred things that are associated with Thai people under the concept of cubism.”

A Cubism : The Enlightenment of The Buddha
Description: Buddha was meditating under the Bodhi tree when Mara (the Evil One or devil) tried to prevent him from reaching his goal of enlightenment. Mara, accompanied by his daughters and his demon army, set about dislodging the Buddha during his meditation. It is said that the gods protecting Buddha were driven away by Mara and his army leaving the Buddha alone to face his demons. Stretching down his right hand, Buddha touched the earth and summoned her to be his witness to his previous good deeds and merit. The earth deity in the form of a beautiful woman rose up from the earth. Twisting her long hair, she created floods of water that represented the good merit that Buddha had previously earned. The waters from Mother Earth washed away Mara and his demons and freed the Buddha to attain enlightenment.
